I will say Dr. Roach does show interest in making sure students are learning, even if he knows you don't want to do surgery. He will let you stand at the head of the table between him and the anesthesia curtain to make sure you can see. He mostly teaches from asking you questions, if you don't know the answer or get it wrong then ask him. He will sometimes give you the answer and sometimes he will tell you to look it up and present it the next day to the team. He is a big believer that we learn from being wrong so don't be afraid to say something because you're not 100% sure.
